Common Illnesses

Please ensure you report any illness to the front office, regardlness if they are in school or absent that day.

Below you can find a list of common ailments and their required absence time, please note that further exclusion may be required for young children under the age of five and those who have difficulty in adhering to hygiene practices.

Chicken Pox

Required Absence: Your child should be kept away from Nursery/School for five days from the onset of the rash or until they scab over.

Conjunctivitis

Required Absence: We advise that children be on antibiotics for 24 hours before they return to school, due to the ailment being contagious.

Diarrhoea and/or Vomiting

Required Absence: Your child must stay home for 48 hours from their last episode of diarrhoea and/or vomiting.

Additional Note: Please ensure your child drinks plenty of water during this time.
